FICTION/ NONFICTION

  1. All films should be student projects produced as an assignment in a University/Institute/School.
  2. Films should have been produced after March 2014.
  3. Live action short films should be no less than 2 minute and no longer than 25 minutes.
  4. All films should be submitted before 7th of August 2017.
  5. A passport size photograph should be submitted of all student filmmakers.
  6. Three still photographs of the film should be submitted. (each size of no more than 5MB)
  7. Applicants applying online should include contact details of the Dean / Director / Department Head / Principal of the University / Institute / School respectively in order to verify the student nature of the product. A verification letter signed by the department head stating that the film is a student project done within an academic programme must be emailed from the official email address of the institution or a scanned letter with the official letter head signed and stamped by the department head should be sent with the submission.
  8. The application form can be submitted online or downloaded and submitted as a hard copy with the necessary letters from the academic institution.
  9. All films should be subtitled in English.
  10. The festival reserves the right to place entries into alternative categories if they feel it doesn’t apply to the criteria of the festival.
